About The Kenney Company

The Kenney Company was established by William J. Kenney, Jr., CLS in 1995. Prior to 1995, Mr. Kenney was associated with Donahue Schriber, one of the premier owners and developers of shopping centers in the Western United States.

Mr. Kenney began his real estate career as a leasing agent at John S. Griffith & Co., predecessor to Donahue Schriber, and progressed through these respective companies to become Senior Vice President of Development and partner in the company’s projects. Among his other responsibilities, as Vice President of Leasing, Mr. Kenney established and supervised the in-house team of leasing professionals that consistently won accolades from other developers and retailers for outstanding merchandising executions and, as Senior Vice President of Development, directed all of the company’s development activities. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Kenney directed and executed the successful $117 Million expansion and redevelopment of the Tyler Mall in Riverside, California.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kenney has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, having served as the California Chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee and member of the Program Committee. Also, he has been an active member of the California Business Properties Association, having served as its Chairman, President and Treasurer. Mr. Kenney has lectured extensively at local colleges, the ICSC University of Shopping Centers, the California Bar Association Continuing Education of the Bar, and to other business groups.
